Earshed

For piano teachers

See what your students proved on the keyboard this week.

Earshed checks every chord your students play between lessons. You see which days they practised, which chords they found, and where they got stuck, so you can teach the lesson you planned.

Free for your first 3 students. Your students need the app; you can use the iPad app or any browser.

The week you can't see

"What did you work on?" shouldn't take five minutes.

Practice logs depend on students remembering, and on them being honest about it. Tonara, the one app that checked practice for teachers, shut down in December 2023. What's left still runs on what students type in.

Earshed doesn't ask. The student's keyboard reports what they played: every chord found or missed, every run of a song, every drill they landed on the beat.

Hear the week, not just read it

Replay their take, and leave a note on the chord.

Every run of an assigned song is kept as the notes they played, not a noisy phone recording. Replay it through the piano with the chart following, see the chords they missed or peeked at, and pin a note to the chord that needs it. Your note becomes a drill on their iPad the next day.

Takes of assigned work are shared with you unless the student turns that off, take by take. Other takes stay private.
