Your keyboard
Any MIDI keyboard works, over USB-C or Bluetooth. No keyboard? The keys on the screen work too. The steps, and what to do if the iPad doesn't hear it, are on Connect your keyboard.
Signing in
- You don't need an account to practise on iPad: what you play is kept with your Apple Account, on any iPad signed in to it.
- An account is only needed to join a teacher's studio, teach, ask a teacher for a lesson, or use Earshed on the web.
- There are no passwords. We email a link and a six-digit code: open the link on the iPad, or type the code. If it doesn't arrive, check your junk folder, then ask for another.
Premium, and buying it
- Bought on iPad (monthly, yearly or Lifetime): it's on your Apple Account. On a new iPad, open Settings in Earshed and tap Restore purchases.
- Lifetime is paid once and never renews. If you also have a Premium subscription, cancel it so you aren't paying twice.
- Cancelling and refunds: see Refunds and cancelling.
- Half price for students and ministries: write to us from your school or church address and we'll send a code.
Your practice and your data
You can erase everything from the app: Settings, then Erase my data. To ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be corrected, write to us from the email you sign in with. See Privacy for what we keep and who can see it.
Teachers
A studio of up to three students is free, with every coaching tool. The Studio plan takes as many students as you teach. Earshed never takes money for lessons: you bill your students yourself. See Earshed for teachers.
