Earshed terms

Your account

You need to be 13 or over. Keep your email secure, since signing in works through it. One account is for one player.

Plans and paying

Free costs nothing and needs no card. Premium is a subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe.
It renews until you cancel. On the web you cancel from the app (More, then Account); on iPad, in your device's Settings.
If you cancel or go back to Free, Premium runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Nothing you've made is deleted; anything over the Free limits is locked until you upgrade again.
If a price changes, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

Your songs, charts and recordings

What you add stays yours. You're responsible for having the right to use it: a chart you typed, bought or were given, and recordings from YouTube, which play through YouTube's own player under its terms. We don't claim any rights over your content beyond storing it and showing it to you, and to anyone you share a link with.

What we promise

Every chord name, number and "that's right" comes from code that reads your notes, tested against real notes. Where AI writes words, it only puts those facts into words.
We'll keep your data private as the privacy page says.
We'll try hard to keep Earshed running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be down or never have a mistake. Earshed is provided as it is.

What we ask

Don't try to reach other players' data, overload the service, or copy the app's code or content wholesale.
Don't use share links to publish material you don't have the right to share.

If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend it. We'll tell you why, and give you a chance to take your data with you.
